The Experience Park

What to Expect

A comprehensive briefing on the largest coastal park in Europe, the amenities being constructed, and how to access them from Glyfada and Vouliagmeni.

The Scale

The Experience Park encompasses 616 acres of continuous waterfront, green space, and public gathering areas. This makes it the largest coastal park in Europe. To contextualize: Central Park in New York is 843 acres; The Ellinikon's park component alone is larger than most urban parks globally.

The layout is designed as a continuous ribbon. No walls. No gates. A civic spine that connects neighborhoods, retail zones, and the waterfront. The design follows Lamda Development's principle of "permeability": every part of the park is accessible to the public, pedestrians, and cyclists.

What's Being Built

The Experience Park is not a single facility. It is a layered ecosystem of distinct zones, each serving specific functions and audiences.

Retail and Dining

A modern retail district with international and local brands, designed as an open-air collection of shops and restaurants. The architecture mirrors contemporary luxury retail: clean facades, premium materials, integrated landscaping.

Entertainment Venues

Multiplex cinema, live performance stages, event spaces, and cultural institutions. The Entertainment Pier is a dedicated waterfront venue for concerts, exhibitions, and seasonal events.

Marina and Water Facilities

A full-service marina accommodating luxury vessels, sailing clubs, water sports, and marine dining. The marina is designed for both leisure and professional maritime activities.

Residential Towers

Mixed-use residential buildings ranging from branded residences (Marriott, Six Senses, etc.) to private luxury apartments. Each tower offers views of the Saronic Gulf, integrated retail at street level, and direct park access.

Office and Innovation Hubs

Purpose-built spaces for tech companies, startups, and creative industries. Green roofs, collaborative workspaces, and direct integration with the park ecosystem.

The Green Corridor

The centerpiece of The Ellinikon is not retail or residential. It is the green infrastructure. 616 acres of parks, cycling paths, waterfront walks, and planted corridors. Trees are planted at densities that mirror European standards, not Mediterranean minimalism.

Central Park Zone

A continuous meadow, lawns, and planted areas that form the north-south spine. Designed for families, picnics, outdoor fitness, and casual gathering.

Cycling Network

Protected bike lanes connecting the entire site. Continuity from Glyfada in the north to Vouliagmeni in the south via dedicated infrastructure.

Waterfront Promenade

A 6+ kilometer continuous walking path along the Saronic Gulf. Direct beach access, swimming areas, and water sports facilities. No vehicle traffic.

Sustainability

Rainwater harvesting, permeable paving, native plantings, and zero-emission public transport. The park is designed as a carbon-neutral system integrated with the city's energy and water infrastructure.

Family Zones and Amenities

The Ellinikon is designed as a 365-day destination for families. Not a resort. An integrated ecosystem where families live, work, and recreate.

  • Playgrounds designed for multiple age groups with safety standards exceeding European norms
  • Sports facilities: tennis courts, basketball, futsal, swimming pools, and water sports areas
  • Educational facilities and institutions integrated within walkable distance
  • Dining and retail specifically designed for family visits, from casual to premium
  • Beach clubs with shallow water areas, lifeguards, and family-specific services
